Three persons including MQM-Haqeeqi worker killed in Karachi

At least three persons were shot dead including a worker MQM-Haqeeqi while drug smugglers injured six persons by indiscriminate firing here on Friday.

As per details, a milkman informed police that two dead bodies were lying in a vacant plot, who were gunned down in Gulshan Rafeeh area of Al-Flah. The corpses were shifted to Jinnah Hospital where they were identified as Kashif and Adnan.

According to police, the deceased Kashif was worker of MQM-Haqeeqi in Unit-78 and had migrated to Lahore for employment purposes in 2002. Five days back he along with his friend Adnan came here to meet his parents and were kidnapped and killed by unknown people.

In another incident some unknown persons killed one person, Qasim s/o Noor Hashim by torture at Ali Shah Goth, in the jurisdiction of Ibrahim Haidery Police Station. Drug smugglers while resorting to indiscriminate firing injured six inhabitants in the area of Shrafi Goth Police Station.

The residents told this agency that they had held a protest rally last day against the drug smugglers who in reprisal of the protest opened firing after the prayer at the people. The injured were identified as Muhammad Azam, Azam Sarfraz, Asim, Arif, Faiz, Babar Saeed and Afzal and were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment. The inhabitants claimed that the police backed the attackers.
