Consul General of Pakistan in United States (US), Mr. Hashmi has said that Islamabad strongly condemn the attempted terrorist attack at New York’s Times square.

The Consul General while responding to a question said that such despicable acts of terror anywhere only serve to fortify the resolve of the international community to join ranks to eliminate this pernicious evil. The Government and the people of Pakistan, having suffered enormously from terrorism, fully share the indignation of the American people.

Pakistan will continue to extend full cooperation to the US Government in investigations, he added. He also expressed the hope that there will be no backlash against the Pakistani community living in the US as members of the Pakistani community are patriotic and law abiding US citizens and are making a very positive contribution in all fields in the country of their residence.
