Fact-finding committee to submit its report on Tuesday

The fact-finding committee constituted to investigate hosing down assassination site of late Former Prime Minister and chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Benazir Bhutto would hand over its investigation report to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani tomorrow (Tuesday).

The committee under the leadership of Secretary Cabinet Division Abdul Rauf was constituted by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on April 24. The committee was directed to complete the investigation within 7 working days. The committee started its investigation from April 26.

During the investigation, the fact-finding mission visited Benazir Bhutto assassination site, besides quizzing and recording statement of then City Police Officer (CPO) Saud Aziz, SSP Operations Yasin Farooq, SP Headquarters Ashfaq Anwar, SP Kurram Shahzad and other concerned officers.

Maj. Gen. Nadeem Ejaz, Former Director General MI also recorded his statement before the committee, besides submitting written statement.
