Prime Minister Sayed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the government respects the decision of Supreme Court (SC) of striking down the promotion of senior bureaucrats.
Talking to the media persons onboard his plane on his way back to Pakistan, he said that Pakistan has invited the Indian Prime Minister to visit his native town in Chakwal, which he has accepted, and hopefully he will soon be visiting Pakistan.
He further said the incumbent government is stable and all the government departments should work within constitutional limits. PM declared his formal and informal meetings with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh successful and constructive.
Prime Minister further said that both the countries were keen to resolve all disputes with peaceful means expressing hope that soon the process of composite dialogue will resume.
Answering a query the Prime Minister said that the government has accepted the decision of the Apex court regarding federal secretaries case adding in the light of SC decision they will see who are eligible to be promoted. In this connection, he said a committee would be constituted which would review recommendations of the Establishment and Selection Board.
