Punjab Assembly member Rana Mubashir Iqbal has tendered resignation from the assembly seat after it was proved before the court that his graduation degree was fake.

A voter of his constituency had challenged Mubashir Iqbal, a Muslim League (Nawaz) member, in Supreme Court.

The court offered the MPA chance to resign from the assembly seat otherwise he will be declared disqualified for next election.

Mubashir Iqbal availed the court offered opportunity and tendered his resignation. He was elected from provincial assembly constituency PP-169.
