Firdaus Ashiq Awan leaves for India today to attend ‘Shoaib-Sania’ marriage

Federal Minister for Population Welfare Firdaus Ashiq Awan informed that she will leave for India tonight (Wednesday) to attend marriage ceremony of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza.

Addressing a press Conference in National Press Club here on Tuesday, she said that Pakistani masses welcomed the decision of Sania Mirza and during her visit to India she will crown Sania on behalf of the people of Sialkot and present gifts (Salami) to Sania Mirza from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.

She also informed that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani has send her on five-days official visit and representatives of civil society, traders community of Sialkot and representatives of Sialkot Cricket Association will also escort her on Indian visit.

Federal Minister further disclosed that during her five days to India, she would hold meetings with social, political activists of India, Speaker Lok-Saba, Sonia Ghandi and office bearers of Int’l Lion Club.
