Federal Minister for Interior, Senator A. Rehman Malik talking to the media men after a meeting with Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui, sister of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, at Ministry of Interior.
“DNA tests have confirmed that the girl is the daughter of Dr Aafia” Malik said during a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday.
The minister said that the DNA report of Mariam 12, has confirmed she is daughter of Aafia Siddiqui.
“Mariam is in good health. She speaks English. In the conditions she has passed through she needs time to return to normal state,” Malik said.
Interior Minister said that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in his US visit will also demand release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui who has been imprisoned in United States.
