Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari would remain the country head till 2018.
Talking to media here on Friday the Governor Punjab felicitated the whole nation and Parliament for approving the 18th amendment from National Assembly adding that they would celebrate this success after its approval from Senate.
After withdrawal of all the outstanding powers President Asif Ali Zardari has proved that he was not a threat to democracy, he added. Governor Taseer said Sharif brothers must be happy from the approval of the 18th amendment and they would continue playing their role for the democracy.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had given the constitution of 1973 while after 37 years once again it has restored it in its original form, the Governor stated. He said President Asif Ali Zardari was co-Chairman of the party therefore he has the authority and he was the real custodian of PPP.
He added that Nazir Jutt has called him on and he has formally joined PPP and hopefully he would be the party candidate for the by elections of NA 178.
