Nawaz and Shahbaz’s absence from Joint sitting of Parliament not a big issue: PM

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the absence of Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif during President Asif Zardari address to joint session of Parliament is not any big issue adding only the presence of leader of the opposition in Parliament is mandatory and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was present in the session.

Prime Minister said this during his brief talks with the journalists after the meeting of parliamentary party of coalition partners here Monday.

He told government strategy was evolved in the meeting in connection with 18th amendment.

On calling Mian Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shahbaz Sharif by a journalist as Mian Brothers the Prime Minister cautioned him saying they were not a limited company and their names be mentioned with respect.

Responding to a question about passage of 18th amendment from the parliament he said “we have presented it before the parliament. It is now up to parliament how it passes it and how much time it takes in the process of approval.
