After addressing the joint press conference alongwith the visiting Turkish President, on Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that economic progress of any country was a benchmark of its development, while economic interdependence and coordination had become imperative in modern times.
Gilani said that there was innumerable scope of investment in Pakistan as it had taken many steps and initiatives for the purpose
Pakistan being the only Country from where the investors could take their 100% profits.
The PM said that Pakistan combated the menace of global depression in 2008 with its prudent and effective economic policies, which were the reason of economical robustness of the Country. He hoped that both countries would be able to attain the ideal mutual quantum of US $ 2 billion by year 2012.
Addressing the occasion, the Turkish President, while declaring Pakistan as his second home, he declared Pakistan as an ideal Country for investment, and expressed his deep resolve to take the mutual trade quantum to its highest ever mark.
He said that after starting of the train service between Pakistan and Turkey via Iran, Pakistan and Iran would be able to access European Markets; while Turkish energy firms would be glad to lend a helping hand to Pakistan in solving its energy crisis.
The Conference was also addressed by State minister and chairman investment Board, Saleem Mandwiwala, president ICC (Islamabad Chamber of Commerce), Zahid Maqbool, president FPCCI, Sultan Ahmad Chawla, and others.
At the conclusion of conference, the Turk company Atta 7 and NFRD also signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in joint construction endeavors.
