Consultation with CJ over judges’ issues not to create turmoil: Nawaz

Quaid Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the consultation between Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary on the judges’ appointment will not create any chaos.

Talking to media men here after expressing his condolence over the death of the mother of Political Secretary of CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Quaid PML-N said that no individual should have powers to appoint judges.

Nawaz Sharif said: “Today’s Pakistan is changing and we have to change our mindset in view of rapidly changing situation in the country”.

On judicial commission, Nawaz Sharif said that the NRO tainted Law Minister should not be included in the commission as fingers could be pointed out on him in future.

Responding to a question, the former prime minister clearly stated that the 18 Amendment cannot be passed in the House without the consent of PML-N.

Nawaz Sharif said that N-League was trying to strive to move forward the country into right direction and the smaller issues should not be ignored, adding he never preferred personal interests over national issues.
