Govt committed to strengthen institutions: PM

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that following the manifesto of Pakistan Peoples’ Party, government worked for restoration and strengthening democracy in the country.

Expressing these views while inaugurating an exhibition in National Council of Arts after two years duration of democratic government organized by the Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Prime Minister said that Benazir Bhutto had given the manifesto to the nation and we are following it diligently.

He said that during his first address to the Parliament he promised to solve different issues in the country and today most of them have been addressed while till the completion of its tenure government, he would solve all the issues.

He said that Constitutional reforms committee has completed its work and nation would get the good news about it. This shows that all the political parties are working jointly to solve masses issues, he added.

He said that we are working for implementation of Charter Of Democracy (COD) in the country.

Talking about different crises in the country, Prime Minister said with the passage of time these would be resolved.

He said that government is working to strengthen institutions in the country and today Judiciary, legislature, media and Parliament are independent.

He expressed his hope that with the changing time better coordination would be established among institutions that would lead the country towards a bright future.
