PML-N’s Imran Zafar emerges as successful in by-elections of PP-111, Gujrat

In Wednesday’s polled by-elections of 112 polling stations of PP-111, Gujrat, PML-N candidate, Imran Zafar has emerged as successful candidate with an unofficial 24,107 votes.

He beat his opponent, PML-Q’s Mian Imran Masood with 21,095 votes, by a wide margin of 3095 votes, to reclaim the old PML-N stronghold vacated after ineligibility of former PML-N candidate.

PML-N was also strongly, and publicly supported by PPPP chapter of the region, while after the announcement of success, PML-N broke into a jubilant spree, replete with aerial firing, and traditional dances in front of archrival, PML-Q’s Zahoor palace, the official residence of Chaudhry Shujaat.

Meanwhile Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and CM Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif congratulated their winning candidate, over phone.
