Shahid Afridi appointed Pakistan’s T20 World Cup Captain

Pakistan Cricket Board decided to appoint all-rounder Shahid Afridi as Captain of National Cricket Team for the upcoming T-20 World Cup to be held in West Indies.
According to the sources, the decision into this effect was taken after a long discussion between PCB officials and Selection Team Coach Waqar Younis. The official announcement about appointment of Shahid Afridi as captain of national cricket team for the upcoming T-20Wworld Cup would be made on today (Tuesday), sources informed Online.
Sources said that Shahid Afridi has been asked to ensure discipline in the team during the World Cup and not to repeat the same mistake of ball tempering.
The Pakistani Cricket team would defend its title in the tournament to be played from April 30 to May 16 and to play its first match against Bangladesh on May 1st and the second match against Australia on May 03, while semi final would be played on May 14 and the final on May 16.
It is pertinent to mention that PCB had announced the 8 members team management few days earlier according to which Team Manager Yawar Saeed, Coach Waqar Younus, Assistant Coach Ijaz Ahmed, Physiotherapist Faisal Hayat, Trainer David Dwyer, Analyst Muhammad Talha Butt, Security Manager Khawaja Najam and Shafqat Rana as Associate Manager.
