The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif has praised the police reforms of former president Pervez Musharraf in a message on the official website of Punjab Police, saying, the vision of former ruler would be continued in this regard.
A private channel reported on Saturday, the Chief Minister at the official site of Punjab Police praised the vision of former president Musharraf for making the police friendly. The CM in his message stated that protected Punjab was his aim and firstly after the creation of the country police reforms done in previous regime of General Musharraf.
He said that the Punjab Government would continue the vision of former president and incumbent had allocated large amount in this regard. The complete name of former president Pervez Musharraf was in the message of CM at the home page while only president word used in the detailed message.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Government took notice of the message of the CM and ordered investigations into it. Punjab government clarified that the message was not released from the CM Punjab.
The provincial government while taking immediate action removed the name of former president and updated the site.
The spokesman of the Punjab Government, Pervez Rasheed while talking to Online clarified that the message was in reality released by the former CM, Pervaiz Elahi in the previous regime not by the Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that the web site administration had changed the picture of Pervaiz Elahi with Mian Shahbaz Sharif but it had not changed the content of the message at the site.
He said that investigations into it have been ordered and responsibles would be brough to book.
