More than 2576 people have been martyred and 6876 people were injured during last nine years in 232 terror incidents while FATA and NWFP bore losses of Rs 15.36 billions in the war on terror.
According to report issued here on Monday, around 654 people of law enforcement agencies, 1922 civilians were martyred in last nine years while 1575 people from law enforcement departments and 5301 civilians got injured. The report stated that the amount of Rs 1.6318 billions was issued to the 2526 martyred and 4020 injured people while the guess loss of terrorism in NWFP was more than Rs 90 billions.
The NWFP and FATA bore Rs 15.36 billions loss in 2009 including house damages of 580 million rupees, Schools destruction of 5.43 billions, 1.1270 billions loss in health departments, 5.170 millions in private ownership, 22.68 billion loss in live stock and 4 billions environmental loss. The transport department suffered loss of 19.65 billions while the good governance department suffered loss of 7.78 billions rupees.
The 24 districts of NWFP suffered total loss 68.68 billions and FATA suffered 18.23 billions. The report stated that around 50 % area of the two districts were completely damaged, adding, 20 % industries and 15 % labour force migrated to the other areas of the country. Owing to the terrorism more than 2.8 millions people had migrated towards other areas.
