Extremists to be brought to justice: Governor NWFP

NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani has said that the elements involved in terrorism and extremism will be brought to justice and never go un-checked.

Strongly condemning the bomb attack on the offices of a volunteer organization in Tehsil Oghi of District Mansehra on Wednesday, the Governor has described the incident a worst act of cowardice and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

The elements involved in terrorist activities, he added, are in fact the enemies of the country, who are already in the run and targeting innocent citizens in frustration. By attacking offices of non-government volunteer organizations, besides the security agencies, the nefarious designs of such elements are fully exposed, who neither have any concern to Islam nor any respect to humanity, and they would never succeed in their ugly aims, he said.

Expressing his heartfelt sympathies with members of the bereaved families, the Governor has assured them that the actions against extremists and miscreants would continue, who would be brought to court of law.

The Governor has also asked the people to continue their fullest cooperation and support with the law enforcing agencies to ensure lasting peace in the area. He has also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls; courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with patience and early recovery of the injured.
