Strike, protests continue in Tral

In occupied Kashmir, amid a general strike, protests demonstrations continued in Tral against the stepped up Indian state terrorism.

According to Kashmir Media Service, shops, business establishments and government offices remained closed while the pro-freedom protests were held in Gulshanpora, Syedpora, Pastun, Loorigam, Khrew and Dadasar areas. The authorities deployed huge contingents of police and CRPF personnel in Tral township.

Meanwhile, in Dadsaar a live shell exploded when the villagers were
removing the debris from the houses, which were destroyed by Indian troops during siege and search operations on Thursday.

“The shell exploded when we were removing the debris of the houses
damaged due to the mortar shelling and IED blasts by the troops”
villagers told media men.
